This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Dimmer ("Application") for mobile devices, which was created by Mehra Foundation as a paid utility application. The Application provides screen dimming, nighttime eye protection, and blue-light filtration capabilities.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data or personal information.

The Application is designed to operate completely locally on your device. It does not connect to any external servers, database services, or third-party analytics platforms. None of your settings or actions are shared with the developer or any third party.

2. Device Permissions Required

To perform its primary utility function, the Application requires the following permissions:

• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required to draw the translucent screen-dimming overlay filter over other running applications to lower the brightness below the system minimums.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): Required to keep the screen-dimming overlay active and running in the background when you navigate away from the app. A persistent notification is shown to allow you to easily stop the service at any time.
• Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to display the controller notification for the running dimmer service on Android 13 and above.
• Run at Startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Used to automatically restore your last active dimming settings when the device reboots, if you had dimming active.

3. Third-Party Access

Since the Application does not collect or transmit any data, no third parties have access to your information.

4. Children's Privacy

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Any changes are effective immediately upon being posted.
